YVMIN and Ashley Williams begin with the everyday,
unfolding an imagination that gently drifts from reality.
Within lives fragmented by time,
tools and consumables are retranslated into adornments,
imbued with an absurd, dreamlike romance.
The room becomes a vessel of memory,
where familiar objects shift gently, taking on new forms.
A girl sits at the edge of the bed,
wearing a tiny house upon her head.
Recreating the childlike texture of a dreamlike house,
the Dream House descends into the hair with a sense of quiet ritual.
A girl sits in her room,
restlessly rearranging objects to pass the time.
Time stretches and softens,
and within its quiet repetitions,
objects are pushed beyond their purpose—
only to settle gently back into the everyday.
Inspired by the dreamlike dollhouse,
the structure transforms into a miniature scene upon the desk.
A rotating form and magnetic details
allow seeing and recording to gently drift from the ordinary.
She takes an old photograph from the drawer,
sliding it softly into the window frame—
as if setting a loop of everyday life in motion.
Fragments once folded away begin to reappear.
A thoughtful detachable design
allows the piece to shift freely between necklace and ring.
A delicately opening window reveals a hidden space,
where images can rest close to the body.
Paper tubes scatter across the floor,
and the girl patiently stacks them, layer by layer—
absorbed, like playing with building blocks as a child.
Comb-shaped earrings are used to smooth her hair,
as fragments of the everyday are quietly worn upon the body.
Bowknot forms and miniature doll combs
are reimagined as earrings,
where in their gentle sway,
everyday gestures become part of the adornment.
A metal chain links miniature elements—
a house, a kettle, a chair—
forming a statement necklace,
or a charm that lets space extend beyond the body.
