In March 2021, we created multiple sets of prosthetic jewelry for Yang Jia, who has a prosthetic leg. We decided to focus on designing beautiful outer shells for the prosthetic frame, as well as easy-to-wear structures. This approach not only allowed for more creative freedom but also resolved many technical issues, reducing costs. This made it possible for us to design multiple styles, all of which were produced as real pieces for Yang to wear at different occasions, truly treating them as jewelry. This direction for the project also aims to raise awareness about prosthetic decorations, so that wearers can enjoy prosthetic accessories they love without having to replace expensive prosthetics.

In 2023, we created a series of body shells as an exploration of large-scale body jewelry.We drew inspiration from the lush, diverse plant life found near swamps. Our goal was for the wearer to feel a deep connection with the earth, almost as if they were growing directly from the soil, with the life force of the plants flowing through the shell like blood. The leg decorations are modeled after underground roots, extending upward, while the torso opens up like a blossoming flower. We transformed the shapes of plants, keeping their distinctive features while creating new forms of vegetation.

UGG once again partners with YVMIN for a second collaboration, launching the UGGLet — a relaxed and customizable multi-functional shoe chain. This collection brings jewelry craftsmanship and signature materials back into the collaboration.The saddle buckle accessory is inspired by the transformation from a “V̈” shape to a “U” shape. The two dots on top of the V̈ continue YVMIN’s signature “spinning flower” design. The moving jewelry adds a dynamic sparkle, reminiscent of swirling time or metallic snowflakes falling on the shoes, creating a continuous loop from the V shape to the U shape. The strap accessory can be matched with various types of shoes. Beyond being a shoe chain, it can also be worn as a bracelet or leg accessory.
